DraftKings Predictions Promo Code: The $200 Welcome Offer and Its Terms

DraftKings Predictions' welcome offer pays up to $200 in Predictions Dollars to new users who make a first trade of $5 or more. The money arrives in four $50 instalments over 21 days. No promo code is needed. Predictions Dollars cannot be withdrawn, and the offer ends on November 29, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (SI, verified October 16, 2026).

The offer at a glance

All terms are from SI's guide. One banner on that page reads "Spend $5, Get $150", and its own test lists day 14 instead of day 21 for the last claim. Check the offer screen in the app for the version you are shown.

How to claim it

1. Start at DraftKings Predictions or download the app.
2. Create an account and complete identity checks. You must be 18 or older and in an eligible state.
3. Deposit at least $5 by debit card, ACH or online banking, PayPal, Venmo or Apple Pay.
4. Place a trade of $5 or more. The first $50 in Predictions Dollars follows.
5. Open the app on days 7, 14 and 21 and tap to claim each $50. A claim you do not make within seven days is lost.

What the terms mean

Four awards, not one. Only the first $50 comes from your trade. The other $150 depends on you returning to claim it on schedule.

Bonus, not cash. Predictions Dollars pay for trades. You cannot withdraw them. Read the in-app terms for how winnings from bonus trades are paid.

Fees still apply. DraftKings charges $0.01 per contract at prices from 1¢ to 19¢ and from 97¢ to 99¢, and $0.02 from 20¢ to 96¢. On combos the fee applies to each leg. A $50 award spent on 50¢ contracts buys 100 contracts and incurs $2 in fees.

What it is worth

The headline is $200 of trading money that cannot be withdrawn. Spent on fairly priced 50¢ contracts, $200 buys 400 contracts, pays $8 in fees and returns about $200 on average if winning trades pay out in cash. If the terms pay out less than that, the offer is worth less. For someone who would open an account anyway, the cost of the offer is a single $5 trade and four visits to the app. That is a good deal. For someone who would not, the bonus alone is a weak reason to sign up.

Where the offer works

The offer follows the app's map. Sports contracts are available in 18 states: AK, AL, CA, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, MN, ND, NE, NM, OK, RI, SC, SD, TX and UT. Another 17 states and DC get non-sports markets without sports. Thirteen states get financial markets only: AR, AZ, CT, IA, IL, LA, MI, MT, NV, OH, PA, TN and WA. In those states the bonus can be used only on financial contracts. The app is not available in Maine or New Hampshire.

How it compares with other welcome offers

DraftKings has the largest headline of the sportsbook-run apps and needs the smallest first trade. FanDuel's is half the size and expires faster. Novig requires users to be 21. Our bonus stack page covers how to claim several offers in order.

Taxes

The IRS has not issued guidance written for event contracts. Keep records of trades made with Predictions Dollars as well as cash, and check which forms DraftKings sends at year end. Our guide to taxes on event contracts sets out the main positions. This is not tax advice.

Things that catch people out

• Missed claims. The awards on days 7, 14 and 21 expire seven days after issue if you do not tap to claim them.
• The wrong state. In the 13 financial-only states the bonus cannot be used on sports.
• Fees on cheap contracts. A 1¢ fee is 10% of a 10¢ contract.
• Combos. Each leg pays its own fee.
• "Exclusive code" sites. DraftKings needs no code for this offer.
• Old pages. Pages that describe a 38-state app or a fee-free product are out of date.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a DraftKings Predictions promo code?

No. As of October 16, 2026, the welcome offer applies without a code once you make a qualifying $5 trade.
