Polymarket Alternatives 2026: Where to Trade If Polymarket Isn't for You
How we make money: we earn a commission if you sign up for Polymarket or subscribe to KalshiSpy through our links. We earn nothing from Kalshi, Robinhood, FanDuel, DraftKings, Novig or OG. Rankings are not for sale. Full disclosure
Quick picks. In one of the eight states where Polymarket's US app is blocked: Kalshi. Want stocks and contracts in one app: Robinhood. Only care about elections and want small stakes: PredictIt. Sports only: Novig or DraftKings Predictions.
Polymarket is the best-known prediction market in the world, but its US app is not available everywhere and does not suit every trader. The most common reasons to look elsewhere: you live in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada or Ohio; you want dollar funding without any crypto habits; you want lower fees on sports; or you want a second price on the same question.
Everything below is a US-regulated venue. The global Polymarket site is not legally open to US residents, and neither are its offshore copies.

1. Kalshi: the main alternative
Kalshi is the largest US prediction market by volume and the only one that matches Polymarket for breadth on US politics and economics. It is a CFTC-designated exchange funded in dollars by bank transfer or card, and it pays 3.50% variable interest on cash balances of $250 or more.
Why switch: available in states where Polymarket's US app is not (with category exceptions), deeper books on Fed, CPI and economic data markets, and interest on idle cash.
Watch out for: sports, entertainment and election boards are blocked in Nevada, and sports are paused in Michigan. The fee is nearly the same as Polymarket US.
Kalshi and Polymarket often price the same outcome a point or more apart. Our arbitrage scanner shows the gaps live. Full comparison: Kalshi vs Polymarket.
2. Robinhood: no new account
If you already use Robinhood, event contracts sit in the same app and balance. Contracts come from KalshiEX, ForecastEx, Rothera and Crypto.com's exchange.
Why switch: simplest funding and the best mobile app.
Watch out for: a smaller catalog and two fee layers (Robinhood commission plus exchange fee).
3. DraftKings Predictions
DraftKings' own exchange, DKeX, lists sports, finance and culture markets in 48 states (sports in 18), with a flat $0.01–$0.02 per-contract fee.
Why switch: you already have a DraftKings account, or you want flat, predictable fees.
Watch out for: thin political books compared with Polymarket.
4. FanDuel Predicts
FanDuel lists contracts from CME Group and Crypto.com's exchange. Sports are offered in 18 states where FanDuel has no online sportsbook; financial and cultural markets are national.
Why switch: sports contracts from a known brand in a state with no legal sportsbook.
5. PredictIt: elections only, small stakes
PredictIt is the original US political prediction market. In 2025 the CFTC raised its per-contract investment limit from $850 to $3,500 and removed the cap on traders per market. It lists elections and political events only.
Why switch: simple political markets with a long track record and a community that follows niche races.
Watch out for: PredictIt has historically charged a fee on profits and another on withdrawals, which adds up for active traders; check its current fee schedule. Volume is much smaller than on Polymarket or Kalshi.
6. Novig: sports without the fee
Novig is a peer-to-peer sports exchange and a CFTC-designated contract market since June 2026. Pregame straight trades carry no fee.
Why switch: for pregame sports it is usually cheaper than both Polymarket and Kalshi.
Watch out for: sports only, 21+.
If you are in a state Polymarket blocks
Polymarket's US app is not available in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada or Ohio. In most of these, Kalshi is the closest replacement for political and economic markets, with exceptions for sports in Michigan and several categories in Nevada. Using a VPN to reach Polymarket from a blocked state breaks its terms and can get your account closed with funds held. See prediction markets by state.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to Polymarket in the US?
Kalshi, for most traders. It has the widest US catalog and is available in most states where Polymarket's US app is not.
Is Kalshi or Polymarket cheaper?
They are close. Kalshi charges 0.07 × price × (1 − price) per contract, Polymarket US 0.0695 × price × (1 − price). Price differences between the two order books often matter more than the fee.
Is PredictIt still open?
Yes, for political markets, with a $3,500 per-contract investment limit after the CFTC's 2025 change.
Are there Polymarket alternatives that use crypto?
US-regulated venues are funded mainly in dollars. Crypto.com's OG app runs on Crypto.com's CFTC-registered exchange; check its funding options in the app. Offshore crypto prediction sites that accept US residents without CFTC registration are not a legal option.
